Biography
After a life-changing river rafting trip to the majestic redwoods, I made the pivotal decision to move to Northern California, pursue my education and discovered an artistic talent that I never knew I had. Later, I moved to New York, where I was influenced by the vibrant art scene with access to countless gallery shows and museums. Making Brooklyn my home, I completed my masters degree in fine art and restored a home that was built in the 1890s. Drawing inspiration from my daily meditations, my love of travel and the beauty of nature, I create art that resonates emotions and connects with the viewer. Today I live and work in Brooklyn, NY and Singer Island, Florida.
Artist's Statement
In a world where everything is impermanent, my art serves as a meditation on the beauty and fragility of existence. Drawing from the Buddhist philosophy that life is like a dream, and everything is ultimately empty of inherent existence, my work invites the viewer to find beauty in the moment. It reminds us that every moment, no matter how temporary, holds profound wonder and meaning.
With a meditative and intuitive approach to my practice, my imagery emerges from the foundation of painterly abstraction and form. Layered surfaces in my pieces, evoke a sense of hidden depths – suggesting images that are only partially visible or not fully grasp by the naked eye. For me, this approach reflects my believe that the world is not entirely “knowable” – that any truth is partial, and what seems tangible will often slip from our grasp. The result is a visual journey that invites viewers to feel the energy, beauty and mystery embedded in each piece, guiding them through a transformative experience.
